HOW to CROCHET OWL CELL PHONE CASE – DIY Tutorial Tunisian Cross Stitch For iPhone Android Samsung

By | March 15, 2023

Hi! I’m Donna Wolfe from naztazia.com Today I’m
going to show you how to crochet an owl cell case. The written pattern is on my website naztazia.com
I’m using Red Heart Super Saver Yarn. And both an F and a G hook. And you need a button. To begin, we’re going to use the smaller F
hook and chain 18. This is not a beginner pattern so be sure
to check out my basic crochet videos and basic cell case videos first. Single crochet in the second chain, and, in
each chain across. You’ll have 17 single crochet stitches. Check against your phone to ensure it fits. By the way, be sure to click on the subscribe
button to get notified of new videos from me each week. Make 3 total rows of single crochet stitches. Now switch to the larger G hook. Turn your work and begin the Tunisian simple
stitch by drawing up loops from each one of the stitches.

It will be a close fit, but you will be able
to fit all of the 17 loops on your normal crochet hook. Now, finish the Tunisian stitch by doing a
yarn over, and drawing your hook through two loops. Remember I have a basic Tunisian video if
you need help with this. Repeat this process again. Draw up loops. This time, inserting your hook into the vertical
bars of the stitches. Then yarn over and remove two loops at a time
to complete the Tunisian simple stitch. Continue doing this Tunisian stitch for a
total of 15 rows. Also if you are on social media, you can also
find me on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and Twitter. Here is the row count. Now, for this next row, we’re going to make
a single crochet stitch in each of the Tunisian vertical loops… including that last one. You’ll have 17 single crochet stitches made. Do a total of 3 rows of single crochet stitches.

You can cut a long tail end for sewing later. Now for the back part. Find your starting chain point. Leave a long tail end for sewing the seam
later. And make one single crochet in each chain
of the original starting chain. Then follow the same process we did for the
front. 3 rows of single crochet. 15 rows of Tunisian. Followed by 3 rows of single crochet. However, on that last single crochet row for
the back, I like to add a button loop. After 8 single crochet stitches, make a chain
15, skip a stitch, and then make 8 single crochet stitches. Now, onto the cross stitch design. In Tunisian crochet, the stitches make 4 nice,
even, spaces. This is where we will do our cross stitch
design, which you can find on naztazia.com You can see how I started some of it.

To begin, on the back, weave in your starting
end. Turn to the front, and I like to begin by
making the one part of the cross stitch first for all 3 stitches. Then I go back and finish my cross stitch. But you can make a full cross stitch first
in each stitch if you wish. Weave in the ends securely on the back. Then sew on a button. You can add a lining if you wish for more
support. Sewing in craft felt is the easiest. And I have a link to my basic lining in the
description of this video. Finally, sew the seams on the side. And here is the finished owl cell phone case. To view this video in other languages, click
