i've been looking for an affordable waterproof pouches for my phone. although there are many options available i found these eono waterproof phone cases, they getting some glowing reviews on amazon! welcome back this is Adam – and you're watching #FamilyPopTV YouTube channel. in the neat box we could find not one but two pouches and a dedicated adjustable lanyards of a good quality with heavy duty buckles. eono claims, the lanyards will withstand the tension force up to 20 kilograms – that's pretty impressive! right, why would i need a waterproof case – as most of today's phones are waterproof? – the answer is simple – because the seals of the phone won't
guarantee safe submersion in water for more than a meter depth for a longer period of time. and these eono pouches are resistant up to 30 meters. eono claims these pouches are waterproof with ipx8 rating, so effectively they can be submerged in the deep water for a long period of time.
But these are also dustproof, steamproof, snowproof, soundproof and scratch resistant and the specialized pouch will protect my phone from salty inductive water, i would not recommend to submerge any phone in a salty water, all the uncovered metal elements of the body will be corroded. before i would take my phone to the pool, lake or the sea, i thought it'd be good idea to test it in the water by submerging it overnight with the dry tissues inside. let's chuck it to the water and see what will happen! as you can see, the pouch is floating so if i would accidentally drop my phone into the lake it will certainly stay afloat. that's great! right after 24 hours – let's check it out. let's open it, looks like no water got inside at all.
As you can see, the tissue is completely dry. i've done the same test for two pouches, to be sure they won't let the water in, therefore i'm happy to use it in the pool or in the sea. the pouches are big enough to fit any smartphone up to 7-inch doesn't matter if it's an iphone, samsung, google pixel, huawei or xiaomi – as long as it's not a tablet size it will fit. i like it! I would definitely take this on the summer holidays, especially if going on a boat, kayak, around the pool – or for the kids, because they always end up dropping a phone in the water on holidays… the other thing, the case also gives the phone physical protection if dropped the phone's screens working perfectly through the pouch obviously, my fingerprint reader in my iphone 8 won't work, so i have to use my pin code instead. but my wife has iphone 11 and this one used the facial recognition, which is easier to operate underwater.
The side buttons can be easily pressed, the pouch won't limit your phone functionality, photo, video and even phone calls or a text message can be sent when your phone is in the pouch, i have checked what existing owners of the eono case are saying about them, as the product has a really high 4.7 out of 5 stars rating on amazon, and here we got: – "waterproof and allows the phone to be used", – "seals well" – ok, – "fully waterproof, outstanding quality" – great, that sounds promising, – "good value waterproof pouches", – "great waterproof cases", – "great for the beach", here's some review from spain: – "useful and practical, allows to manipulate side buttons" – yeah, that's really important, there's one from italy: – "two waterproof cases, really good". all of the reviews, as you can see are positive and that speaks for itself. if you got any valuables while on the beach: wallet, credit cards, money, etc, and if you feel a bit nervous leaving them unattended on the beach, the pouch is a good solution.
