Tiny DEWALT POWERSTACK 20V Has More Power Than XR 5.0Ah Battery – https://youtu.be/rS0l6EyQxsc → DEWALT …
In today’s demonstration, we are going to test the Power Stack battery’s capabilities on a circular saw. However, before we dive into that, I would like to debunk some myths circulating regarding this battery. In our previous videos, we have already proven the truth about these claims, and if you haven’t watched them yet, it’s a good idea to go back.

Some people have been commenting that the Power Stack battery is more potent than the DeWalt Flex Volt battery. However, at this time, this claim is not accurate. The Power Stack battery is a 1p battery that produces substantial amps. But it cannot yield the same amp output as a 3p battery that uses larger cells. The Power Stack battery is more powerful than a 1p 2-ampere-hour battery and offers an equivalent power output as a 2p 5-ampere-hour battery. Nevertheless, its runtime is significantly shorter due to its lower 1.7-ampere-hour capacity.

One commenter suggested stacking two or three Power Stack batteries together to increase its power output. Let me clarify that it is not possible since the battery packs cannot stack. The term “Power Stack” refers to the pouch cells inside the battery and how they are layered.

We will now proceed with the cutting test. We will begin with the Power Stack battery’s performance on a two-by-dimension lumber cut. Surprisingly, it performed well at first, but as the cut got longer and required more power, it started to slow down. This issue is prevalent in batteries that generate power quickly, but their output reduces significantly over an extended period or multiple cuts.

We then switched to the 2-ampere-hour battery and performed the same cut again. As expected, the Power Stack battery is much more potent than the 2-ampere-hour battery. However, the 2-ampere-hour battery is more consistent in its power output, as it delivers roughly the same power as the 5-ampere-hour battery.

To compare the Power Stack battery’s performance with the 5-ampere-hour battery, we performed the same cut, and the 5-ampere-hour battery cut successfully too. Since the Power Stack battery’s output is comparable to the 5-ampere-hour battery, we performed another cut using the Power Stack battery. However, after two passes, the Power Stack battery started to slow down, and its light started blinking, indicating low voltage. Despite letting the battery rest for a few minutes, we still encountered the same issue.

It’s worth mentioning that the battery pack got warm during the test, and we were concerned it might not charge due to a hot or cold delay. However, the battery pack charged correctly, which indicates that it’s a durable and reliable battery pack.

In conclusion, the Power Stack battery is an excellent technological innovation that will change the way we use our tools. However, it’s worth considering the tools you plan to use it for since its 1.7-ampere-hour capacity may not suffice for heavy-duty tools. Moreover, please ensure to use it correctly, and it will undoubtedly be a useful addition to your tools.
