and today we’re going to be taking a look   at the new Makita Cordless 18 volt half 
inch hammer driver-drill model number  XPH14. Before we get into it, do us

Tools. This drill is the predecessor to the   previous XPH12 model, it is available in either 
a bare tool XPH14Z or XPH14T for the kit. The   new XPH14 features a brushless motor putting 
out an impressive 1250 inch pounds of max   torque and a two speed transmission capable of 
up to 2100 RPM for a wide range of drilling,   fastening, and hammer-drilling applications. 
Makita’s BL brushless motor is extremely   efficient. It’s electronically controlled 
to match torque and RPM to the application,   optimizing the battery’s energy use for up to 50 
percent longer run times per charge.

This tool is   only to be used with the Makita batteries with 
a star symbol which are equipped with the star   protection computer controls that protect against 
overloading, over discharging and overheating.   This cordless drill is capable of 31,500 beats per 
minute for faster drilling in masonry materials.   An all-metal, half-inch, self-ratcheting chuck 
for improved gripping strength and durability   as well as Makita’s XPT for increased dust and
