no signal. (phone ringtone) That’s a regular phone call. And today, we’re going
to talk about how to hack the signal in your home. You know when sometimes
we’re talking someone in the phone and the flow
of the conversation is already good,
whether it’s work, whether it’s family,
or sometimes your flings, (chuckles) it’s so irritating
when it’s suddenly like, “What is that?
Sorry, choppy. I’ll go out for a while
because the signal is there.” That’s my pet peeve,
and especially my wife, I know that it’s time
for salaries and she’s sending money
to the different provinces and she needs to wait
for a one-time pin.
Before there’s no signal
here in the house so she’d be in the garden
waiting for a one-time pin, she’s so pitiful
and she’s getting angry already. Kryz transforms. And I know that a lot
of you guys can relate, and this is because
of a lot of factors. Sometimes it’s the roofing sheets
that we use in our house that sometimes disrupts
the signal, sometimes it’s like
thick concrete walls or basement areas,
or even here in our home where it’s hard to find
a signal because we live
in the mountains. So today, we are going
to teach you how to hack the signal
in your home, so that every part
of your home has a signal. And it’s only going
to take a few minutes and, and, and it’s going
to be 100% free. Ah! All right. Free is rare
in life, guys, but this tip is totally,
totally free. We’ve just discovered this
about a month ago and then it has helped us
so much when it comes to the entire home coverage
where we can have signal, and second is
when we’re receiving calls and messages
and it’s so fast now.
You know when sometimes
you’re calling and it connects so slow? This has helped that immensely.
It’s so fast to call and we get calls
all around the house, because it actually converts
your Wi-Fi network into a signal booster. And it’s not complicated
to set up. There are some caveats
that we’ll explain later. But first thing you have
to have is a modern smartphone. Maybe in the past,
I don’t know, I’m just guessing here,
but around five years, if you have a smartphone
that’s less than five years old, it’s probably going
to work. All you have to do
is go to the settings and look for Wi-Fi Calling. So here in mine,
I can see Wi-Fi Calling and I can just turn it on.
Now Wi-Fi Calling
is actually what they call WoWiFi. And you’ll know
that this is working already when you see this,
where it’s written VoWiFi. That’s it. Sorry, I don’t have a signal. So with this, I can call, let’s say for example,
I have no signal, guys. Just don’t look
at the number. Yeah. She’s called Lita. But there’s no signal,
but I can actually call her right now. Let’s see if she’ll answer. See? Ringing right away. So, it’s good… Just testing, love.

because sometimes it even calls,
if you’ve seen, almost in an instant.
You don’t have to wait anymore. So yeah. Highly,
highly recommend this. This only works
for some networks. For us, Kryz and I
are Globe ambassadors and we’ve tried this out
on Globe. And this has worked
immensely well. So I’m on a Globe postpaid
and it works very, very well for that. And for all
the other Globe subscribers, I actually talked… talked… I’ve actually talked
to Globe about it. They will roll out
this type of feature also for the rest
of their subscribers in the near future. So if you have
a Globe postpaid, right now I still
only know it’s Globe postpaid, this works well. But you might have
to activate your SIM. It’s very easy. I’ll just put a link down below
and you just follow that link and it will lead you
into the right direction. So this tip is what
I actually recommend. It’s zero effort. You probably have Wi-Fi
throughout the entire home.
And it works even
if your Wi-Fi is not the same as your carrier.
So as long there’s Wi-Fi that has internet connection,
it’s really just fine and it works very, very well. I even used this
in my office and even in my dad’s home
when we’re visiting them. It still works
as long as there’s Wi-Fi and an internet connection.
This works really, really well. Guys, I’ll just segue this. Just in case I wasn’t clear,
you might blame me like, “I had charges.” When I say the VoWiFi
or Wi-Fi Calling is free, it’s because by activating it,
you don’t pay for anything at all.
And it’s free
because you’re only using the existing Wi-Fi infrastructure
of wherever you are. But the calls and texts
that we send out, of course, the service provider
still charges us as if we were
on the regular network. So just to clarify. But Slater, I’m seeing
something in your house. You have a signal booster.
That’s cheating. Is that what you’re saying? A lot of you guys
have been asking me about that in particular. And I actually just
recently discovered that that is illegal. But I’ve never actually
used this because it’s actually here. That’s only the antenna,
but we didn’t use it. This was from our old house
and it never works, so we never used it.
And it’s illegal because… Okay. Signal booster 101. Imagine if this was your home
and this water here is the signal. People use signal booster
because the signal can’t enter their house, right? So that is why there needs
to be a signal booster. in this case,
let’s say for example, this is the signal booster
and it gathers all the signal around the area
into the home.
It acts like a funnel
to gather all the signal going into your home. And the reason
why it’s illegal is because
how about the other houses around the area?
How about them? If you get all the signal,
there’ll be nothing left for them. So you’re just
like stealing the signal. So that’s why it’s very,
very much frowned upon. But for us,
it never really quite worked. I’ve heard of some cases
where it works, but it’s still not that well. Still not as good
as we’ve said earlier about the Wi-Fi Calling. So I recommend
you stick with that. All right, guys.
